Citrine (Tanzania Natural) Rough Detail 4

We struggled over this - citrine facet rough that is clean enough to cut some fine gems - unusally clean for rough rough! But many prefer that the rough be cobbed and cleaned up totally as possible.
Finally I have decided that it is rare indeed to be able to get larger size natural rough as it came from the ground. There will of course be some veils/inclusions/color zoning since it is pure. We have examined it as best can be and can assure you that the descriptions can be relied upon. When you view these images you will have to remember that there are, naturally, a lot of SURFACE flaws - that does NOT indicate internal flaws!

It is also possible for you to be absolutely certain that this is NATURAL ROUGH if I do not clean it up. This is all large, alot is huge. It has not been treated in any way - enjoy!

DOORKNOB! This is huge piece of citrine facet rough, but the color is weaker than most - still that NATURAL peach though. A couple of veils near the surface of the big near flat side will possibly just cut away (depending on design and orientation) but may also cost you a bit of recovery. The color is zoned and you will have to chose to orientate for color or for size. ALOT of nice natural citrine.
I would orient for color and still have a huge gem with the veils naturally cut away.

Interior is clean ... a light yellow with of peach. This is not the yellow treatment gives, this is attractive stuff! With color orientation there will be a definite orange flash. Will cut a very large clean gem!

Strictly surface flaws - ignor them! This is truely a rich orange gem in the rough. Best color of the ones on-site, and this is NATURAL. 16x13x12 mm. 24+ cts.

This is a sweet piece. I am real tempted to cut it myself.
It is a shame so much treated Citrine has spoiled people's appreciation of the NATURAL colors of this material - it is quite lovely.
