This one is hard. First: at 50x there is "dirty" veiling which will make orientation most important!... at 2x there is a veil, but it is workable. The stone is a 5.4 ct malaya color change garnet. The incandescent color is a fine raspberry/pink with violet hints - the change is to a violet/purple/red - see below! 8.3 x7.8 x(taper 5.2 to 4.1) I DO think that this will cut a bright, attractive gem, but have priced it very low at $22.00.
	The below photos show a problem: the red/purple image on your left is how I see the gem under flourescent; the violet/purple image on your right is how the camera insists on seeing it under flourescent(many tries, all the same). Perhaps this means something to some of you. Outside (cloudy day) it does look more purple to me than it does under flourescent.
